Why Do We People Like Gossiping?

Even if you hate yourself for it, everyone has talked about someone else behind their back. Gossip isn’t productive, it doesn’t help your relationships, and most people agree that it is impolite at the very least, morally wrong at worst. So why participate in gossip? Well, there are a lot of reasons why people gossip. They may not justify it, but they can at least offer us some insight into why it’s so common.
